MariJean Wegert is a ghostwriter, postmodern picara, and mother of two. She grew up along the Portage River in Ohio, making forts in the woods and talking to trees. Now, she still talks to trees, and is a practicing abolitionist, animist, and mystic. Her poetry and essays have appeared in Analecta, Tributaries, Tilted House, Geez Magazine, YoHo Journal, The Salt Collective, Edible Michiana, and others. Her first book, Water the Bones, is available through North Meridian Press.
